Past, Present, and Future Bears,
It is a proud day to be a Bonduel Bear. The past and the present are things to marvel at, while the future is a bright beacon of promise. History, tradition, pride, and great people have fueled the success of the School District of Bonduel. After all, how else could Bears thrive in the backyard of the Packers?
All districts have had times when we felt the sting of rejection, funding issues, declining enrollment, and so on, but all is not lost. In fact, from my perspective, it is quite the opposite. When you have good people, then everything for success is right here, right under your nose. Combined with a supportive community and a geographic location that allows a short drive to work and a feeling of living in the country, there is much reason for optimism, hope, and all things great.
I choose to view education through the lens of the greatest things that are yet to come. But we do have to work for it, and there is work to be done for sure. I challenge you to answer the question of how you view education and the world around you going forward. Do you see education for what it has been or for what it could be tomorrow? You see, it is not just about educating our children, but educating the community as well regarding what tomorrow could bring. It’s about working together as a team for something that will be great long after we are all gone. And to dream again.
Most of you are already a part of a legacy whether you realize it or not, because you’ve contributed directly to the positives and survived the negatives. Our predecessors in the school and in the community are great people and great leaders, each in their own right, and who have been a part of the journey that brings us to here and now. We know that those who experience success are a result of those around them. That already exists in Bonduel and it is my hope that as a newer member of the family that I’ll also be able to stand with you and to contribute, and that we will all celebrate continued success together.
All of our experiences in a lot of areas working together will be instrumental in continuing to move the School District of Bonduel forward in ways that are progressive and innovative while respecting, preserving, and honoring the tradition, the history, and the people before us that put us in a place to be able to do so. I know that my own experiences cannot hold a candle to the work being done on a daily basis in our classrooms, in and around our homes, in and around our communities, places of work, the military, and so much more. For your past and present efforts, we are grateful as we are the beneficiaries of that now.
There is one great thing I’ve learned in the time I’ve been on the job: Life is good, but it’s just a little bit better here in Bonduel. I hope you have an outstanding website experience that is user friendly and gives you a sense of what we’re really all about as you navigate your way through our new website. I'm hopeful if you have suggestions that you'll send them our way. Regardless, I also hope you’ll consider joining me in working together to usher in a renewed energy, enthusiasm, and vigor that helps us all rise above to the next level and create something awesome for those that will follow us after we are gone. It is, after all and after hibernation, what Bears do annually.
Yours in education,
Joe Dawidziak
